Another year, another state

Well, it's official. We've been waiting for the final details to get worked out between Jeff and his new boss(es).

So, Minneapolis, MN...I guess...here we come.

I don't know how I'm feeling. I guess it is good that we won't actually be there until the snow is gone. Jeff's start date is May 15. But I'll stay here until Andrew finishes out the school year.

Ugh. Selling a house. Explaining to the kids. Saying goodbye...again.

More on this later...

I'm wondering the same as Kate...

I'm so sorry! As someone who hates change, I can empathize ...though I can't imagine how it must be with three kids. If it's any consolidation, of the three people I know who have lived in Minneapolis, one missed it so much she moved back, one dreams of moving back, and the other ...well, Erich and his mom lived there for a number of years and repeatedly tell the fallen-tree-frozen-across-driveway-in-May story. Needless to say, they don't have any desire to move back there, but I'm pretty sure the only reason is they're weather snobs :-)

Just in case this ISN'T an April Fool's situation I must tell you that the Twin Cities are AWESOME, seriously, and I can imagine some kind of tandem trip where the kids and I go to WI to see my parents and then head over to MN to hang w/ you guys for a couple of days. So that would be fun, right? :-)

Also (sorry to hijack the comments), while Minneapolis is awesome, but it's too bad you aren't going to Midland, MI because that would seem really close... :-(

NOOO!!!! I'm supposed to visit you in PA this fall so you can take me to all the historical sites. I'm really hoping this is an April fools joke. I know Jeff's company moves really slowly on things so this seems too fast for them, but if he changed companies...hmmmm. I know there are chemical plants in Minneapolis. I'm waiting to see how this plays out before I Google "things to do in Minneapolis" :)

How funny that we are on our way to Minneapolis for the weekend when I read this?! I am selfishly excited that you will be closer to us...maybe we will be able to meet up!

I'm not going to believe this unless you post about it on April 2nd...
