Michael and Lily were playing some pretend game while I started preparing dinner in the kitchen. Lily came up and asked if I would be the monster. I told her yes...and then told her that I was a Mommy Monster who was making dinner for her little monster children. And that I wouldn't bother them if they were nice and quiet.
And then Lily and Michael snuck upstairs and hid from the monster for 30 minutes. I heard them deeply engrossed in their playing house and keeping quiet from the monster.
Ah...pretend play can be good.
