And, yes...when he heard I was going to post this, he requested to wear the same thing.

It's been a great year! His teacher supplemented for Andrew A LOT during the last few months of the school year...sending home poetry with comprehension questions instead of sight word books and double and triple digit math problems on the back of the 5-2=? worksheets. She has hand selected his teacher for next year...the very teacher whom she used as a resource to supplement him through the year.

I am excited for him to be in first grade. PE! Art! Lunch at school! But it has me all choked up inside. Kindergarten was a nice in between year...in between pre-school and real school.

Wow! He really did change over the year, you can tell. And sounds like he's super smart and will love first grade, but yeah, that step up to REAL school is what's going to totally choke me up in a few years. Preschool seems shocking enough!

Look how his shorts are over his knees now and the shirt is shorter. Smart boy to want to wear the same outfit. He's our special boy. Onward to first grade...sigh.
